Willi Dünnenberger

wduennenberger@positivturismo.com

I was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, where I also completed my business apprenticeship program with the IWC luxury watch company and received my state-accredited applied business degree. I worked for many years as a private secretary for renowned author Erich von Däniken (Chariots of the Gods) before becoming the Head of Administration at the Research Institute for Security Policy and Conflict Resolution at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. After moving to Quito in 1993, I established the Positiv Turismo travel agency in 1994.
I am fluent in German, English, Spanish and French, with French being by far the least used of these. In my younger years, I enjoyed traveling the world, bike racing, soccer, reading, and listening to music. These days, I prefer going for hikes through the cloud forest with my family, traveling all over Ecuador, swimming, and exploring issues in biology and other natural sciences. Unfortunately, that’s all my busy schedule allows time for.

Regine Volland

rvolland@positivturismo.com

I was born in 1980 in Germany and became interested in Ecuador while I was still in business school. After working at a travel agency, I was hired to update a German-language travel guide, which introduced me to the cultures and attractions of Ecuador. I have been living in this country for the past 2 ½ years and am always eager to explore new destinations within Ecuador.
My main job at Positiv Turismo is organizing trips for our agency partners in the German-speaking countries, as well as small-group and individualized tours. I take care of e-mail correspondence, create itineraries, reserve hotels and boats, and organize travel guides and transportation. My favorite thing about this job is that I get to work with people from all over the world and am able to design new travel programs for Ecuador.

Lucitania Montenegro

lmontenegro@positivturismo.com

My name is Lucitania Montenegro. I am Ecuadorian and 27 years old. I studied ecotourism in Quito.
I have been working in the sales department at Positiv Turismo since 2008. Before that, I spent a year in Germany to study German. My job here at Positiv Turismo, being my first job after school, is a great learning experience since it allows me to apply the things I learned in school. I like the work and am very happy with it.
In my spare time, I like to participate in sports, e.g., biking, hiking, jogging, and swimming. I also like to walk my dog and spend a lot of time with my family.
Joseth Cruz

I was born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1972. After school, I worked for a Galapagos tour operator for six years.
Now I have been employed with Positiv Turismo for twelve years. My main responsibilities are organization and sales, particularly for Galapagos, and airline reservations.
I enjoy my job here because it never gets boring. In the tourism industry, you learn something new every day.
I appreciate all of the attractions Ecuador with its biological diversity and various climate zones (coast, Andes, Amazon, and Galapagos) has to offer even though I personally am not particularly fond of traveling.

Elizabeth Cando

I was born in Ecuador and have been employed with Positiv Turismo in bookkeeping since October 1, 2002. My duties include preparing invoices, authorizing payments to hotels, inns, agencies etc. and many other tasks. I enjoy my work and always strive to do my best.
During my time here at Positiv Turismo, I have gained valuable experience that has allowed me to grow professionally and to acquire new skills. In addition, my job also gives me the opportunity to get to know my beautiful country better.

Patricio Sangucho

psangucho@positivturismo.com

My name is Edison Patricio Sangucho Vega and I was born on March 5, 1977, in Quito. My friends and family call me Pato.

I have been working for Positiv Turismo since 2000. I enjoy my work here at the office very much because it never gets boring and I get along well with my coworkers. Most of my time is spent taking care of government paperwork, making payments, picking up tickets, or making reservations.

In my spare time, I enjoy sports, going for walks with my nieces, playing Nintendo, and listening to music. I love exploring destinations outside of Quito, particularly along the coast because I love the delicious, fresh seafood.
