Itinerary
Transportation from your hotel in Quito to the Pululahua crater. Photo opportunity. Your four-hour horseback ride starts at a ranch located in the middle of the crater and takes you along the crater through various types of vegetation and scenery. Enjoy the panoramic view of the valleys and the cloud forest. In the afternoon, return to Quito. (-/L/-)
What you should bring: rain gear, flashlight, warm clothing, lighter clothing for sunny parts, riding boots or trekking shoes with a good grip, bug spray, water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, small towel, head cover, small daypack, camera, bandana (to cover your face on dusty sections)
Wearing a riding helmet is advised, although it is not mandatory in South America. If you want to wear a helmet, you must bring your own.
