You will be picked up by your guide at your hotel. Transportation to Cotopaxi National Park. Cotopaxi is the highest active free-standing volcano in the world (5.897 m / 19,347 ft). The scenery radiates with a desert-like, desolate beauty. You will pass the Limpiopungo lagoon before ascending to an altitude of 4.500 m / 14,765 ft. From here, you will have the option to hike to the José Ribas shelter at 4.800 m / 15,750 ft. In the afternoon, return to Quito. (-/-/-)
