3 days/2 nights Daily from/to Quito    Quito, being one of the oldest cities in South America, offers a number of well-preserved monuments and art treasures from the colonial period. Discover the magnificent churches, bustling plazas, and romantic streets of the old town.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Quito
Arrival in Quito. You will be met by your local travel guide. Transfer to your hotel. After a start with a “City Tour by Night” to the Panecillo viewpoint, where you are treated to a welcome cocktail, your driver takes you to the Plaza Grande. (-/-/-)

Day 2: Quito City Tour   In the morning, sightseeing tour of the old town of Quito. Your tour starts at Plaza Grande, passes the presidential palace, the churches El Sagrario and La Companía and the plazas of Santo Domingo, La Merced and San Francisco. It also includes a visit to the monastery. (B/-/-) Your afternoon program offers the following three options: a) Mitad del Mundo: the Middle of the World monument and museum visit b) Cable-car ride on the Teleférico, the world’s highest cable car, to Cruz Loma (4.100 m / 13,450 ft), a lookout point on the eastern slope of the Pichincha volcano (4.700 m / 15,415 ft). c) Archaeological Department of the “Museo del Banco Central” (closed on Sundays and Mondays)

Day 3: Transfer to the airport and flight home.

Extension program in Ecuador or flight to Baltra/San Cristobal to visit the Galapagos Islands. We would be glad to advise you on these additional options.
