Trip Itinerary for 4 days/3 nights
| Day 1: Quito—La Casa del Suizo |
| Retracing the steps of Amazon discoverer Francisco de Orellana, you cross over the eastern Andes on one of the highest mountain passes open to traffic in Ecuador (over 13,000 feet). If the weather is nice, you will be treated to a spectacular view of the snow-covered Antisana volcano (18,714 feet). In Papallacta, you can enjoy a soothing soak in the beautiful thermal hot springs. After a scenic drive through lush cloud forest, you finally reach the tropical rainforest and the Rio Napo. A short boat ride takes you to Ahuano, where the hotel “La Casa del Suizo” is perched on a plateau high above the Rio Napo. |
| Days 2 – 3: Jungle Adventures at Casa del Suizo |
| You can participate in a number of different activities: hiking in the exuberant rainforest, floating on a raft down the Rio Napo, visiting a Quichua family, or simply relaxing at the pool or in your hammock. |
| Day 4: La Casa del Suizo—Quito |
| Return across the Andes to Quito. |
