Kaony Lodge, located on the banks of the Caoní River, in the northwestern part of Pichincha Province, is surrounded by a 74-acre private nature preserve near Puerto Quito. Travel time from Quito by car is about 2 hours.

11:30 Relax in the swimming pools, hammocks, or hot tub
15:00 Hike on one of the four trails to admire our orchids. Swing on a giant swing.
17:30 Make your own chocolate according to traditional recipes and methods and try it in milk or with fruit.
10:00 Visit the protected forest of “La Perla” (tropical humid forest), which has been named a biodiversity hotspot. It is home to more than 250 species of birds and 33 species of ferns.
15:00 Information program about local fruit cultivation: orange, lemon, mandarin, banana, papaya, and more. Or you may choose to go bird watching.
10:00 Short hike to the waterfall, where you can go for a refreshing swim.
12:00 Sampling of local ice cream flavors like cacao, pineapple, papaya, and sweet liquor.
15:00 Relax in our reading room, watch a movie, or have fun with our karaoke.
17:00 Enjoy the hot tub or swimming pool or relax in one of our hammocks.
20:00 Camp fire and marshmallow roast in the moonlight.
10:00 Visit to the butterfly farm and walk along the Caoní River. You can kayak or go for a swim.
